Since the shock of DB’s exit from the night train business, there have been many actions in Germany, some of us have been active in back-on-track.eu from the beginning. In March 2022 we decided to found an “eingetragener Verein” in order to be able to act as a charitable association in the future.
Back-on-Track Germany e.V. aims to inform the German public about the possibility of tackling the climate crisis by reducing greenhouse gas emissions in transport by making night trains more attractive, to inform decision-makers about the obstacles in cross-border train traffic and to propose solutions on how to overcome them within the European network of Back on Track.
We do this through a range of activities such as studies, campaigns, conferences, networking and anything else our members deem appropriate to achieve our goals within the framework of our statutes. Read our latest activity report (in German).
