Help us to transform our network into a formal NGO

  • by

Back-on-Track Europe has so far been a loose network of national initiatives and individuals. In November, we decided to take things one step further and become a formal non-profit organisation. This will qualify our network for certain committees at European level, give us access to funded infrastructure and enable us to apply for funding.

More precisely, we want to set up an international charitable association (a.i.s.b.l.) under Belgian law at the end of April. Most associations doing lobbying in Brussels choose this legal form. Unfortunately, this involves considerable one-off costs.

Who can support our plan with a small donation?

We need 1.800 EUR, mainly for paying notary fees (no, we don’t know of any Belgian notaries who would work for free). We already had starting funds of 500 EUR and started a fundraiser for the remaining 1.300 EUR. Only a couple hundred Euros are missing – can you help us reach our goal?

It’s a count-up fundraiser, this means we won’t accept donations beyond what we need. So don’t wait too long if you want to be amongst the famous founders of Europe’s first international and night train NGO!

Here’s the link to our fundraiser (at PayPal, but you can donate with most credit or debit cards, too):

You can also support us via bank transfer to IBAN DE98 4306 0967 1294 0390 00, BIC GENODEM1GLS including the note/reason for payment “BoT Europe” (this is important!).

Thank you for your support (regardless of whether you can donate or not)!
