Petition for night trains from Scandinavia to Germany and further

As a natural consequence of the raising awareness of the missing railway links from Scandinavia to Germany and other countries in Central Europe, activists from Back-on-Track has launched a petition, which is calling upon politicians in Sweden and Denmark to support establishment of night trains from Scandinavia down south.

Each such train will replace three full airplanes, and will give a climate friendly alternative to the growing air sector. Will that alone change the World? Maybe not, but it is a beginning. And without, travellers has no options to airplanes.

The three petitions on change.org are linked together, and the idea is that they will run April-May. The target group are all who could be passengers to such trains, so we welcome all potential night train users in Europe to sign!

  1. I can’t wait for direct overnight trains connecting Scandinavia to Hamburg, Berlin , Frankfurt, and other parts of Europe. It’s long time overdue.I do hope they will take into account all the implications of a lack of such connections , and will very soon establish direct links. It is about our endangered environment and our convenience- among other things.
